HorseArt RPG

Art based game that needs no words to play.
It is artwork based, and can take as long as you like. It is not fast-paced and is intended for artists who are busy

aswell as others. It gives those a chance to cure boredom and to take a break from commissions.

I have seen this here and there and wanted to turn it into an official game.

Breeding characters, stallions, mares, even other animals should you think this game could work that way if it ended

up popular enough to spread to others...like cows or canines or cats for instance.

How to play

Stud Fees, Rules
Stud Fees:

To breed one of your mares to another 'stables' Stallion;

1) Contact the 'stable' owner via any of the ways allocated by those involved, specifically for this

game for HorseartRPG. They can put up an allocated e-mail assigned specifically for the game, or state weather they

will accept devnotes.

State Which stallion you would like to breed to, and your mare you wish to breed from, with a link to your mare's

page.
Your mare's statistics;
Height
Colour
Markings
Breed
Bloodlines (No begining mare in a stable has bloodlines..only the offspring do)
Disipline
Age (All mares start as Fillies to thier first breeding, 5yrs, then age them in our own RL years as they pass)

2) Once contact is made and both owners involved know breeding is to take place; You Must Draw ---One

With the Chosen 'stables' Stallion open to service, and your mare you wish to be covered---Together

Breeding is not complete till the finished artwork is put up.
Artwork is to be drawn by the mare's owner, not the stud or stallion's owner!!
Do not ask THEM to draw the art for you.


3) Following this (Take as much time as you like), for birth.
You must then draw the offspring with the Sire and Dam's name written below.
You may draw the offspring as foal or an adult.
You must make an official declarence of the two horses involved and their offspring, on your Horseartrpg journal

entry (or can be a new entry)
You Must then put the offspring on your page with its picture for it to exist in your stable.
**THE OFFSPRING DOES NOT EXIST UNTILL YOU DRAW IT**


Strictly NO colouring of other people's linearts.
People from all ages participate it is not about who is better than who, it is fun, get in some drawing practice

using the game. All skill level artists are playing.

1) Make a journal post, promoting your 'Stable' and your 'Stallions at stud'
You must put 'Horseart game' in the subject, and in the body post pics/links of your studs that are up for 'service'

and also if you prefer to keep the breed pure or dont mind cross-breeding. You can add any other relevant info about

your studs too.
You must link back to this 'Rlues' journal entry so everyone knows the rules and how it works. You can also post the rules in your own journal and so on.

2) Make your stable journal entry first, DO NOT contact me without your stable journal. I will not reserve stable names.

3) Stables that Colour lineart drawn by another artist will be flatly declined.
People from all ages participate it is not about who is better than who, it is fun, get in some drawing practice using the game. All skill level artists are playing.

4) Please look through the stable directory list and stables. No doubleups of names permitted. DO NOT RENAME YOUR STABLE ONCE IT IS UP! If you MUST please explain why. As it is a hassle to go through the list to find your stable to rename it, only to find the name was taken by someone else.

5) Breeding to said stud does not give you permission to create a clone of said stud, be creative, think carefuly on what the two combination of horses would look like as a foal. Think about markings, colours, breeds.
Copying another's design directly is illegal, and will not be tolerated.


Other than that have fun! Remember it is a slow paced game, intended for busy artists who like wee personal projects on the side who want something to do as a break from commission work. This is for you.

Frequently asked questions:

Questions
1.) Can we 'lease' out our mares?
2.) Do we have to wait a few weeks/months before a foal that was just born before we can make it a breeder?
3.) What if a stallion has the same name as another from a different stable? Instead of changing the name, could we perhaps give it a brand at the end of the name?
4.) Do stallions and mares need to be a certain age before being up for stud?

Answers
1) Leasing of mares is at the owner's preference, you will put up your own rules about that..like to say you have the mare on lease..the leaser must draw the mare at new stable or whatever..lease is only for one breeding cycle which means as soon as she has been bred to a chosen stud (see breeding rules)..the lease returns to the owner. make sense?
2) Wait at least a week before breeding. (as you cant breed foals!)
3) we already have two stallions of the same name, however they are a different breed so that works. if they were the same breed there could be confusion. I recommend placing the stable name next to the stallion's name when listing bloodlines for future foals.
4) age 5 and up, no younger, Mare can be no younger than 5 to breed also.



~~~Basicly you put up a journal entry with links to your 'stallion' characters and say stallions at stud. or if you have a mare character you wanna breed then lookup 'stallion at stud' journal entries. devnote to say. "i wanna breed my mare to your stud 'famine'" or whatever. the person says 'sure' link me when you are done.

The stable owner has right to decline any breeding applicant, do not be upset if you are declined. They may want only specific colours or breeds for thier studs, or only limited breedings which means not just anyone can make a mare and apply.

then draw their stally and your mare together cuddling grazing whatever. then in a separate pic draw thier foal. simple as that.
foal doesnt exist till pic is posted. breeding isnt done till 'together' pic is posted.~~~
