Yes he is extreme, I liked the challenge, I failed, but it was fun to mess around with colours. AND SO a challenge it is to figure info about him too! '

I had fun writting this!

Drawn/coloured by hand..scanned..scan was crap..so messed about in photoshop to fix it lol.

Name: Starshower

Personality:
Placid and flashy to watch move in any gait, easy to handle, he adores being brushed and will viably pout if you stop. Hes a result of what he originally was, and it has influenced his personality greatly, it does mean his is a little flawed. We aren't sure if he belongs in a show ring, but he does just go gaga for cuddles, treats and just plain old attention.

Children love him, and he is especially good with disabled children. We will use him for children recovering from serious illness and disabilities, to brighten their day and put a smile on their wee faces.

His coat is very silky soft with an almost sparkling metallic sheen similar to that of an Akhal Teke, he is hypoallergenic, so kids with allergies to animals/horses can touch him.

:star: Backstory: DO READ THIS! :star:

It was no ordinary day.

The sky was bright blue without a cloud in it, as usual with mornings such as these, crisp frost had covered the ground at Carousel Estate

The horses had been turned out into their paddocks after a morning feed in the stables and their bodies drifted up wisps of steam from their gathered relaxing bodies in the morning sun.

Despite the crisp morning MoonQuill heard on the radio that a nor-wester was coming in and to prepare for a hot day.

"Excellent" she thought aloud, she did love this kind of weather, even though many others suffered headaches from it.

The beginning of the weekend appeared to be off to a great start, today was garage sale day...she would drive around looking at carboot sales, flea markets and school fundraisers.

She stepped out in a plain scarf, long skirt and jersey, to take the chill of the morning, wearing a cooler t-shirt beneath for when it warmed up.

Her little blue Mini was already parked outside waiting, she climbed in, turned the key, smiled as it coughed into action and moved away down the driveway. She hummed happily to herself and waved at the stablehands before exiting the gate.

The day however wasn't to bring as much pleasantries as she had first thought, and she found nothing to perk her interest, not even an old record or book..nothing.

The old blue Mini putted along as her eyes gazed forlornly through the front windscreen, hoping to catch sight of one last place, the sky was darkening to evening and she had lost hope, surely everyone would be packed up by now.

Then she spied it, a little girl on the sidewalk, sitting next to an almost empty table, her face was sullen, something sparkled on that table that made MoonQuill double back and parked the car.

She stepped across the road, the girl's mother stepped out of the house and smiled, she said something to the girl that MoonQuill couldn't hear, the girl smiled and nodded.

At the table were a strange assortment of
things, a few books an old rubber ducky, some jewelery, but what caught her eyes were a brightly pearlescent, rainbow coloured horse, not a scratch on it or cuts to the hair, and a strange wooden and gilded gold stable inside a box that opened up, it was beautifully carved and had an old keyhole which a large old fashioned key poked out of.

MoonQuill's eyes went almost as big as saucers.

"Hes very special Miss" The girl piped up pointing to the toy horse laying on it's side.

It didn't look like any toy she'd ever seen before, and all she could do was nod slowly at the girl. Her mother stepped up.

"Yes he is isn't he? See this toy helped little
Melissa when she was very sick" The girl smiled up at her mother.

"Yes but im all better now, so I thought he can help another little girl like he did for me"

MoonQuill was taken aback at the girl's words
"Surely you would miss him?"

"No, I know he wouldn't forget me" She grinned widely .

Moon was a little perplexed and decided not to take the toy as he was intended for another little girl, not a scruffy adult.

"Thankyou for letting me look, I hope he finds a good home" she turned to leave and set to walk across the road back to her car.

The woman called out, and MoonQuill turned to see the mother running across the road, holding the wooden box.

"Wait! wait!....here," She pushed the box into the bemused woman's hands.

"Melissa wanted me to give this to you, she said that the pony could make a grown up happy too as grownups are just big kids anyway.... no need to pay anything"
the mother waved off Miss MoonQuill's shaking hands as they offered some cash for the item.

"We've already sold most of the items we had, no need for us to be greedy, have it, its yours.."

MoonQuill babbled and shuffled the money back in her pocket, clasping to the box with white knuckles. The woman popped the large old key with a white ribbon tied to it on top of the box.

"The wee man is inside the box" she whispered and walked back to her little girl.

Miss MoonQuill was shaking and as she drove away in her little blue mini, she saw the two wave, unconsciously she waved back.

Back at home, she stared at the box, still overwhelmed at what just happened. The edges had intricate metalwork over the ornate old wood, she traced a finger over the lock and the box shook, curious she unlocked it.

She curled back the front, and unhooked the locks on the sides, pealing the walls down until just the fancy stable was showing, nailed to the bottom of the box with fine nails, the small stall doors were shut and it was beautiful to behold. The box shook again, it sounded like small scraping feet.

Her face draw closer and she unhooked one of the stall latches....empty... she did this two more times..on the 4th, a small equine head poked its nose out. MoonQuill gasped and the wee horse's head ducked back inside the stall.

"No no im sorry! come back out!..." She looked above the stall door and saw engraved there clumsily was the word 'Starshower' oh...
"Starshower?" MoonQuill said with uncertainty, the wee horse poked its head out again.

"I guess that's your name..."

That night she crushed some grains into a small feed bucket on the stall door and poured water inside the stall where another bucket was, she cut up some hay finely with scissors and popped it inside too. She closed the box up, turned the key and went to sleep.

The next morning Miss MoonQuill awoke to her rooster crowing below her window. She stood up, yawned, stretched and stumbled to her duchess to check on the box, she opened it all up, opened all the stall doors to find the whole box empty....no water, no feed, no hay...no pony...

"Oh....I guess I imagined it, I was very tired and it had been a long day...perhaps she forgot to put the horse in??..oh well its a nice box"

She closed everything up, latching all the hinges, and turned they key in the lock, but it became stuck and wouldn't come out.

She rattled it, turned it, got frustrated and rattled it again. There was this faint 'ping' sound, "Oh no..." she pulled...a broken key handle out, followed by the soft muted thud of something falling inside the box.

Moon dropped the key. "No!..no nononononono..." She picked up the box and looked through the lock, she saw a peculiar sight.

The broken half of the key was there...then she looked to see a light over the stall door of Starshower's..she looked down to see the broken half of the key..now much smaller sitting at the foot of the door...a horse behind it could be heard neighing...the door shaking as it was kicked from the inside.

"Im sorry!!!..." The door shook again.
"IM SORRY!..oh oh...." She began to panic.
"I wish you weren't in there!.."
the stall door stopped it's movement, the hair on the back of her neck stood on end.

"I wish you weren't in there" she whispered....the box shook.

"I wish you weren't in there she breathed a third time"
The box shook violently and leapt out of her hands dashing itself to the floor. The box splintered as if frail as glass, all the beautiful carving now ruined.

She picked up the other broken half of the key and quietly matched the two parts. "Its useless now, the box is broken"

A shrill neigh split the air, making her drop the two pieces of key. She'd heard that somewhere before....

MoonQuill's head raised as she heard it again, she stepped over the broken box and raced through the house and out the back door towards the stables.

Her early morning stable-hands gave her strange looks as she ran past in her nightgown, but they had seen her run around barefoot after Van Gough so knew it was just one of those things, she was eccentric to say the least.

Puffing almost out of breath she rested against the large barn doors, but something was different. Her barn seemed..bigger?
Another neigh echoed out from the other end of the barn and she hastened towards it. There at the very end, was...an extra stall that wasnt there before......it's door was made of a familiar red polished mahogany wood, the hinges and edges in detailed metal...above it was a plaque with the name Starshower carved into it, and right next to the handle on a peg, was...the broken key..only..it was no longer broken and it hung there on a pale white ribbon.

"OH MY WORD! " She whispered into her hands as they clasped over her mouth.

Carefully she picked up the key and unlocked the top portion of the door....a velveteen soft nose poked out and breathed gentle breath onto her trembling hands.

"you're real!!!"
