Personality:
Very shy and quiet, more confident At night, sunset, sunrise and around water, jumps right in at the beach, no problem crossing creeks and rivers. Easy to handle and hard working to a fault. Adores sugar lumps and clover, but goes nuts for dried apple.

Story:

When Elusive became restless at night we knew something was up, because she usualy adored Dusk time. Her belly was heavy with the foal and she was anxious as it was her first.

The staff took turns dampening her forehead with a cloth and soothing her, but in the end the only thing that we could do to keep her calm was rush to the store and buy a CD at an alternative store with sounds of the ocean and nighttime on it. We lightly played it through a small stereo away from the stall so she could just hear it in the background.

The birth was relatively easy with a few worrying moments when we thought her foal's nose wasn't there, as it was tucked up against its knees and beause of the markings, blended and looked not there.

Elusive took to motherhood like a pro and we were relieved to say the least, she had a very strong maternal instinct.

Bajan was a very delicate looking foal but managed to fill out as she grew into her legs.

We know she will enjoy her life here with us.
